This is the major purpose of the site - an area where I ask you, the reader to help take action to improve not only your own internet connection speed, but also for all Basingstoke residents. This is a three part call to action....

Check your situation

eHampshire (part of Hampshire County Council) has set up a very useful line checker which uses your postcode to tell you if you will be able to obtain the new fibre optic connections. Use the line checker and if it reveals that you are not included in the deployment, complete the form to let them know.

For residents in Chineham and Hatch Warren, you will be pleased to not that super fast broadband will be made available by the summer of 2011. You have waited for this for a while, so please be patient and it will come to you soon.

Tell A Friend

Please tell a friend, a neighbour or a work colleague about this site and have them sign up (or better still, tell 2 or 3 people). The more people that sign the petition, the more chance there is that BT will do something about the problem.

We have previously asked residents to contact BT. However as the work is now underway for the 'in fill' project for summer 2011 and planning for other areas is under way with the council, we are recommending going through the council.
